Wax Pattern

A wax pattern is generally used in the process of creating a porcelain crown or inlay, or any other tooth prosthetic molded outside a patient's mouth. Once the part of the original tooth with the decay or infection is removed, the dentist makes a wax pattern of the space. The wax pattern is then used to make a natural likeness of the tooth, and the space is filled. No one but the patient and thte dentist knows that a wax pattern was required for that beautiful smile.
