Veneer

A veneer is a thin shell of porcelain, plastic, or composite material, that is bonded to the front of a tooth's surface to create a natural, whiter smile. Porcelain is a lightweight, translucent material, so a porcelain veener takes on the look of an actual healthy tooth. Veeners can be used to improve teeth that are crooked, gapped, or irregularly shaped. In cases where teeth are permanently stained, usually due to use of certain antibiotics at a young age, advanced teeth whitening techniques like Brite Smile will unfortunately not whiten teeth. In these cases, a veneer can be used; it is usually thought that at least 6 veneers total are necessary for the smile to look truly natural.
