Tooth Decay

Occurs when a significant amount out a tooth’s mineral has been washed away that a hole of cavity forms. When the bacteria in plaque interacts with sugar, there is a break down of the tooth enamel. Over time, the teeth decay and need to be filled and repaired. To prevent tooth decay, it is imperative that the teeth are brushed at least twice a day and preferrably after meals. Regular teeth cleanings by a dental professional can also prevent tooth decay or cavities. Ways of treating tooth decay includes Porcelain Inlays, General Dental work, Crown, Crown and Bridge.
