Fixed Appliances

Fixed appliances are considered permanent restorative and cosmetic devices used to perfect one's smile. An example of a cosmetic fixed appliance would be a fixed bridge which is used to replace one or more missing teeth. Fixed dental appliances are also considered permanent or stationary and are not meant to be removed by the patient. Fixed appliances also include Orthodontic devices such as braces that are bonded to the surface of teeth with the purpose of changing tooth movements to reposition the teeth.
